FEVER OF CRICKET IN INDIA.........ITS AMAZING

YEH CRICKET KA JADU HAI........................
Although cricket is not the official national sport in India, it begets much more excitement and a greater fan following than the official national sport Hockey. Why only hockey? In fact no other sport in India can claim the position of cricket in respect to its popularity and revenue generation.

The cricket mania in India would leave an onlooker amazed and wonderstruck. Go to any part in Indian from Jammu and kashmir in the north to Kerala and Tamilnadu in the south or from Mharashtra in the west to Assam in the east, you would definitely spot a bunch of boys busy with a cricket bat (or may be it's poorer version) hitting a ball.

If you wondered why, reasons are many. That India often makes it to the top teams of cricket, scores high among th
e reasons. In its nearly 60 years of history after independence, the biggest international success of India is the World Cup victory in 1983, which the Indians still hold dear to heart. Subsequent appreciable performances in other World Cups and international tournaments have much to do with the huge popularity of cricket in India.

A short history
The British brought the game of cricket to India. Initiall
y only the Parsi community of western India, who were rather close to the British Officials, started playing the game. In course of time the game found favor with the Indian royalty. Some of the Indian Maharajahs even gained favor with the British for their cricketing merits. After India gained Independence in 1947, the British left, but the legacy remained. It did not take long for Indians to make it to the international arena.

Today cricket in India play the role of an adhesive in this land of contrasts and contradiction. At least the Indians from Srinagar to Kochi from Mumbai to kolkata have some thing in common! No wonder an ace Indian cricketer is worshipped like a deity. Whether he is from Uttranchal or Andhra Pradesh from Marashtra or Arunachal Pradesh, hardly makes any difference. The movie stars from Bollywood, the biggest film industry in Asia, do not even enjoy the similar status.

Almost all the states play cricket in India and quite a few first class tournaments are played at the domestic level. The middleclass Indian kids of today do dream of taking cricket as a career. The government encourages the sport with supporting and developing the infrastructure.
People work out their social events, leaves from office and travel plans tallying with the Indian cricket team's schedule. There are several instances of Indian cricket fans arranging elaborate pujahs or going on a ceremonial fast on the eve of a final game of a significant international tournament.

The flip side of this does exist. Streets, offices, schools and hospitals run empty on a day when the Indian side locks horn with Pakistan in a sensitive match anywhere in the world. Incidents of heart attacks during a nail-biting finish or even suicide at
the loss of Indian side have also been known to occur.

But the huge cricket mania in India has undeniably turned the sport into a large industry in the country. A lot of money spins around the sport and multiplies its effect in the national economy to the benefit of everybody. The Stock Exchange Index rises and falls and elections are won or lost centering round the sentiment of cricket. Top rung corporate organizations eye the Indian market to launch a product or sponsor a game.

So, cricket mania in India has a stronghold upon its populace, which is hard to ignore. Whoever can tap its potential, reaps the benefits. Come, visit India during the coming ICC Champions Trophy and find out how the cricketing sentiment runs through billions of Indian hearts.

TOURISM IN INDIA......ENJOY..........

Tourism in India has received a major boost in past decade in since the indian government realized the great potential of tourism of i India during vacations. tourism of india has grown a lot by leaps and bounds with a great influx of tourists from throughout the world who have been irresistibly attractive to the travelers.

india has the right tourism potential and attractions to captivate all types of tourists whether it is adventurous tour, cultural exploration, pilgrimages, visit to the beautiful beaches or to the scenic mountain resorts, Tourism of India has it all for you.

Travel through Indian states and cities brings to light, the cultural and the geographical richness of India. We provide you a glimpse to the richness of tourism in India with information on all the major tourist destinations of India and tourism services of India that will take care of all your problems while you are in India.

The Indian economy has resulted in more disposable income in the hands of middle class, thereby prompting increasingly large number of people to spend money on vacations abroad or at home. Secondly, India is a booming IT hub and more and more people are coming to India on business trips. Thirdly, aggressive advertising campaign "Incredible India" by Tourism Ministry has played a major role in changing the image of India from that of the land of snake charmers to a hot and happening place and has sparked renewed interest among foreign travelers.

Travel & tourism industry's contribution to Indian industry is immense. Tourism is one of the main foreign exchange earners and contributes to the economy indirectly through its linkages with other sectors like horticulture, agriculture, poultry, handicrafts and construction. Tourism industry also provides employment to millions of people in India both directly and indirectly through its linkage with other sectors of the economy. According to an estimate total direct employment in the tourism sector is around 20 million.

Some of the salient features of the Tourism Policy are:
  • The policy proposes the inclusion of tourism in the concurrent list of the Constitution to enable both the central and state governments to participate in the development of the sector.
  • No approval required for foreign equity of up to 51 per cent in tourism projects. NRI investment up to 100% allowed.
  • Automatic approval for Technology agreements in the hotel industry, subject to the fulfillment of certain specified parameters.
  • Concession rates on customs duty of 25% for goods that are required for initial setting up, or for substantial expansion of hotels.
  • 50% of profits derived by hotels, travel agents and tour operators in foreign exchange are exempt from income tax. The remaining profits are also exempt if reinvested in a tourism related project.
Apart from this, government has taken several other measures for the promotion of tourism. A multi-pronged approach has been adopted, which includes new mechanism for speedy implementation of tourism projects, development of integrated tourism circuits and rural destinations, special capacity building in the unorganized hospitality sector and new marketing strategy.

The outlook for travel industry in India looks extremely bright. India as a tourism destination is the toast of the world at the moment. Conde Nast ranked India amongst the top 10 tourist destinations. JBIC ranked her as the fifth most attractive investment desti
nation. Besides, India is probably the only country that offers various categories of tourism. These include history tourism, adventure tourism, medical tourism (ayurveda and other forms of Indian medications), eco tourism, cultural tourism, rural tourism, religious/pilgrimage tourism, spiritual tourism, and beach tourism etc.

COMMUNALISM IN INDIA --A BIG PROBLEM.............

After the independance India faced many communal riots, perhaps riots being every year. But not a single government can stop these riots. Every time political party blame each other but can't give any solution to solve this problem. From the riots Secular parties blame to the communal parties and communal parties blame to the double policy of secular parties, but every time the public burned in the fire of riots and not the politicians.

I seek to deconstruct the discourse in communalism from a varietu of approaches, by examining urban and rural class relations, caste-uplifts movements, mobilization in popular movements, and the colonial and nationalist discourse on the subaltern. The communalism earlier scope , from the earlier ninteent and to the earlier tweentieth century, is delimited by the timeframe in which the phenomenon of communalism came into its own.

Communal and etnics problem have effected the entire social and political fibre of india, particularly after independance. The phenomenon, is however not new in this country as during the british rule, British exploited communal feelings in Indian society to further their political goals.

One can trace the pluralistic Indian society right from the Vedic period, when people were divided on the basic of their work, which later became theri caste. The Muslims invaions and patronage of Muslim rulers to the people of their own religious faith strongly rooted the evil of communalism in the county in the medieval period. The mughal rulers even exploited communal feeling as a mode of competition among the various warlike communities.

Conflicts caused by caste, language and religion have been almost perenial sole of the body politic of India which have weakened the state structure economically, socially and politically. This has adversely affected the security of the country.....

Decreasing number of females in india......whyyyyy?????

India's economic transformation and growth have received much media transformation in recent years. However, another mojor transformation going on in Indian society that has received much less attention is the demographic transition that the country has been undergoing since the 1960s. While Indias death rate s have been falling steeply since 1961. India's fertility rate has declined from about six children per woman in 1961 to 2.7 today. As a result, the population growth rate - which increased secularly between 1911 and 1971 - has been falling since then. Of course. given problem population momentum, the country's population population should continue to grow, albeit at a progressively diminishing rate, before levelling off sometime in the middle of this century.

When we talk about a religion going back 5000 years, we quite rightly expect the religion to have advanced to catch up with the current times. Once would normally expect the population to have grown to huge numbers which off course is depending on the religion itself too up to an extent.

There are THOUSANDS of baby girls being "murdered"?????? on daily basic in Modern India. According to the UNICEF report regarding this matter, there are around 9000 baby girls disappearing everyday in india. This is one of the most horrific facts about hindu dominated India. A whole gender is being exterminated so quitely that even most of the neighbours of these cruel parents are unware of this ill practice.

STEPS TAKEN BY THE INDIAN GOVERNMET:

To stop the gruesome practice, India has introduced tough laws against tests to determine foetal gender for non-medical resons, but practice is widespread and shows no signs of slowing. Wealthier populations are the worst offenders, since they can afford the cost of testing for gender identification . In such a corrupt society, the rules are widely flouted by doctors for a small amount of bribe, in what activists say has now become a multi-million-dollar business. The tests are done secretely and are often hard to prove.

THIS ILL PRACTICE CARRIES ON AT ITS PEAK AS THE WEALTH AND PROSPERITY GROWS, IN WHAT IS KNOW AS INCREDIBLE INDIA. IT IS TRUE SHAME TO ALL HUMAN KIND, AND SADLY MAKES UR WORSE THAN ANIMALS......
